At DEMONTES we work to do our part to contribute to the improvement of an environmental awareness that respects the environment and allows us to live together in a sustainable way. To this end, our team of environmental educators coordinates and manages the different lines of action using a variety of resources and tools:
We design programmes promoted by administrations or tailor-made at the request of other public or private organisations.
We develop our activities using recreational techniques that reinforce learning for groups of different ages and from different areas (rural and urban environments, schools, camps, associations, adult groups, organised groups, volunteers, etc.).
In our environmental education department, we cover the entire process of design and management of environmental education campaigns related to any subject of environmental concern, carrying out:
- Design of proposals for awareness campaigns.
- Planning and management.
- Design of games, workshops, activities, adapted to the target audience of the campaigns.
- Design, preparation and layout of educational resources and materials.
We provide customer service, awareness-raising, dissemination and promotion of sustainable nature tourism in Nature Interpretation Centres, developing, among others, the following tasks:
- Attention to the public, individually and in groups.
- Dynamisation of permanent exhibitions.
- Giving talks and activities related to nature awareness, enhancement of the value of natural resources, etc...
- Accompaniment on guided routes to promote the value of natural and socio-economic resources.
As part of the environmental education campaigns, we give talks to different age groups and collectives, with the aim of raising awareness among the population about various environmental issues, such as forest fires, waste, water, etc.
- Design and production of travelling exhibitions: information panels, models, games, etc.
- Dynamisation of the exhibition through guided and interpreted visits.
- Carrying out activities and talks.
- Assembly and dismantling.
- Design of materials.
- Dissemination of activities.
- Management of volunteer groups.
- Implementation of volunteer activities.
- Didactic manuals (for teachers, groups,...).
