A BIT OF HISTORY

DEMONTES began its activity in 2020, after the merger of the companies Eural and Natutecnia, constituting another step forward in the long road travelled by both organisations providing specialised services in the field of the environment and emergencies.

In this new exciting stage that lies ahead, DEMONTES brings together the wealth of experience and knowledge of the technicians and specialised staff in its more than 20 years of existence, which makes us a company where professionalism and a close relationship with our customers and suppliers are our hallmark, and the diversification of services has been the key to professional success.

From the beginnings, in the 80s, where the restlessness and enterprising attitude of its current president, Miguel Porrero, who started working in a heliport base in Ourense, to the present day, with more than 150 technicians and employees specialised in their different tasks, we can highlight the great milestones and achievements that have allowed us to be who we are today:

• We were the pioneers in the implementation of the CAR, Rapid Action Squads, back in the 80s, and the BRIF (Brigades of Reinforcement in forest fires), both under the Ministry.
• We launched in 1999 and managed the EPRIFs for more than 8 years, also under the Ministry, where we trained many people in the use and management of fire.
• "We are experts in forest fire training".
  We have trained more than 10,000 professionals related to forest fires: technical staff, extinguishing managers, specialised labourers, aerial means coordinators, environmental agents, administrations' labour staff, among others.
  We have given more than 800 training courses related to forest fires in Spain: training for helicopter brigade technicians, basic courses on forest fires, controlled burning courses, firefighting managers, etc.
• "We are pioneers in Forest Fire Investigation training, setting up the first fire investigation team in Castilla y León, developing the method of physical evidence and being the first to provide cause investigation training in Spain.
• We have managed more than 60 helicopter fire crews in Castilla y León and Galicia, as well as large fire operations in the Canary Islands.
• More than 10 years raising public awareness through environmental awareness campaigns aimed at children and adults.
• We are manufacturers of our forest fire PPE, complying with the regulations in force in this respect.

As we gained in knowledge and experience after the execution of all these services related to forest fires, we have contributed to the professionalisation of the sector, by proposing technical improvements to the client and their subsequent implementation, and the transmission of knowledge acquired through training courses.

Towards 2005 we diversified our work by developing services related to emergencies and Civil Protection, such as the management of emergency centres, rescue teams or the management of fire station personnel, as well as forestry and gardening work, among others.

Today, DEMONTES, with full vocation to contribute to the care of the environment and the safety of people and goods, is born renewed with the philosophy of "Collaborating from experience", with the aim of being the benchmark in the environmental and emergency sector for the more than 80 clients we have among public administrations, companies and organisations both nationally and internationally.
